\r\n\r\nArthur's Seat. Holyrood Park is a short walk from Edinburgh\u2019s Royal Mile in the heart of the city. It is a 640 acre Royal Park adjacent to Holyrood Palace.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n

\r\n\r\nOpen year-round.\r\n\r\nPlease be aware the Radical Road footpath is currently closed.\r\n\r\nThe High Road and Dunsapie Loch Car Park are open to vehicles from Tues to Thur, 9.30am to 3pm. A one way system is in place for cyclists.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nSat & Sun, all roads are closed to vehicles. Closures commence 8.15am to 9am and reopen from 5pm to 5.45pm.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nFind out more about our reopening plans.<\/a><\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe parks highest point is Arthur's Seat, an ancient\u00a0volcano, and sits 251m above sea level giving excellent view of the city; it is also the site of a large and well preserved fort. This is one of four hill forts dating from around 2000 years ago. With its diverse range of flora and geology it is also site of Special Scientific Interest.\r\n\r\nWithin the park you can also visit St Anthony\u2019s Chapel - a 15th century medieval chapel, Salisbury Crags \u2013 a series of 150 foot cliff faces dominating Edinburgh\u2019s skyline as well as Duddingston Loch \u2013 a fresh water loch rich in birdlife.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/i>\u00a0Show More<\/span><\/a><\/div>\r\n<\/article><\/div>\r\n
