{"id":3532,"count":2,"description":"<b>Hyde Park<\/b> is a <a title=\"Listed building\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Listed_building#Heritage_protection\">Grade I-listed<\/a> major park in <a title=\"Westminster\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Westminster\">Westminster<\/a>, <a title=\"Greater London\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Greater_London\">Greater London.<\/a>It is\u00a0 the largest of the four <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Royal Parks of London\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Royal_Parks_of_London\">Royal Parks<\/a> that form a chain from the entrance to <a title=\"Kensington Palace\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kensington_Palace\">Kensington Palace<\/a> through <a title=\"Kensington Gardens\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kensington_Gardens\">Kensington Gardens.<\/a> And Hyde Park, via <a title=\"Hyde Park Corner\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hyde_Park_Corner\">Hyde Park Corner<\/a> and <a title=\"Green Park\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Green_Park\">Green Park.<\/a> This\u00a0 past the main entrance to <a title=\"Buckingham Palace\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Buckingham_Palace\">Buckingham Palace<\/a>. The park is divided by <a title=\"The Serpentine\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Serpentine\">the Serpentine<\/a> and <a title=\"The Long Water\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Long_Water\">the Long Water<\/a> lakes.\r\n\r\nThe park established by <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Henry VIII of England\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Henry_VIII_of_England\">Henry VIII<\/a> in 1536.\u00a0 When he took the land from <a title=\"Westminster Abbey\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Westminster_Abbey\">Westminster Abbey.<\/a> Henry used it as a hunting ground. It opened to the public in 1637 and quickly became popular. Particularly for May Day parades. Major improvements occurred in the early 18th century under the direction of <a title=\"Caroline of Ansbach\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Caroline_of_Ansbach\">Queen Caroline<\/a>. Several <a title=\"Duel\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Duel\">duels<\/a> took place in Hyde Park during this time. It often involving members of the nobility. <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"The Great Exhibition\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Great_Exhibition\">The Great Exhibition<\/a> of 1851\u00a0 held in the park, for which <a title=\"The Crystal Palace\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Crystal_Palace\">The Crystal Palace<\/a>, designed by <a title=\"Joseph Paxton\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Joseph_Paxton\">Joseph Paxton<\/a>, was erected.\r\n\r\n<a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Free speech\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Free_speech\">Free speech<\/a> and <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Demonstration (protest)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Demonstration_(protest)\">demonstrations<\/a> have been a key feature of Hyde Park since the 19th century. <a title=\"Speakers' Corner\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Speakers%27_Corner\">Speakers' Corner<\/a> has been established as a point of free speech and debate since 1872, while the <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Chartists\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chartists\">Chartists<\/a>, the <a title=\"Reform League\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Reform_League\">Reform League<\/a>, the <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Suffragettes\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Suffragettes\">suffragettes<\/a>, and the <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"15 February 2003 anti-war protest\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/15_February_2003_anti-war_protest\">Stop the War Coalition<\/a> have all held protests there. In the late 20th century, the park was known for holding large-scale free rock music concerts, featuring groups such as <a title=\"Pink Floyd\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pink_Floyd\">Pink Floyd<\/a>, <a title=\"The Rolling Stones\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Rolling_Stones\">The Rolling Stones<\/a> and <a title=\"Queen (band)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Queen_(band)\">Queen<\/a>. Major events in the park have continued into the 21st century, such as <a title=\"Live 8\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Live_8\">Live 8<\/a> in 2005, and the annual <a title=\"Hyde Park
