Marsan par H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Darroze in Paris with 2 stars and H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Darroze \u00e0 Villa La Coste in <a title=\"Provence\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Provence\">Provence<\/a> with 1 star.\r\n<h2><span id=\"Career\" class=\"mw-headline\">Career<\/span><\/h2>\r\nIn 1990, after graduating from university.\u00a0 Darroze began working for <a title=\"Alain Ducasse\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alain_Ducasse\">Alain Ducasse<\/a> in the office of the <a title=\"Le Louis XV (restaurant)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Le_Louis_XV_(restaurant)\">Le Louis XV<\/a> restaurant in Monaco.<sup id=\"cite_ref-catinterview2011_1-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/H%C3%A9l%C3%A8ne_Darroze#cite_note-catinterview2011-1\">[1]<\/a><\/sup> Where she convinced to enter the kitchen by Ducasse. It was her first time working anywhere other than her family restaurant and she later said that she was working in the office about half the time.<sup id=\"cite_ref-standardmad2011_2-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/H%C3%A9l%C3%A8ne_Darroze#cite_note-standardmad2011-2\">[2]<\/a><\/sup> After working for Ducasse for three years, she returned to her family's restaurant and kept its existing <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Michelin star\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Michelin_star\">Michelin star<\/a>. After the restaurant suffered financial difficulties and closed in 1999.\u00a0 When Restaurant H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Darroze in Rue d'Assas, Paris and won her first Michelin star in 2001, picking up a second in 2003.<sup id=\"cite_ref-namedlondon_3-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/H%C3%A9l%C3%A8ne_Darroze#cite_note-namedlondon-3\">[3]<\/a><\/sup> The second star was lost in the 2010 version of the guide.<sup id=\"cite_ref-awardstwostars_4-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/H%C3%A9l%C3%A8ne_Darroze#cite_note-awardstwostars-4\">[4]<\/a><\/sup>\r\n\r\nIn 2008, Darroze\u00a0 named as the new chef at <a title=\"The Connaught (hotel)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Connaught_(hotel)\">the Connaught<\/a> in London.\u00a0 Replacing <a title=\"Angela Hartnett\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Angela_Hartnett\">Angela Hartnett<\/a>, who had operated <a title=\"Angela Hartnett at The Connaught\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Angela_Hartnett_at_The_Connaught\">Angela Hartnett at The Connaught<\/a> there on behalf of <a title=\"Gordon Ramsay\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gordon_Ramsay\">Gordon Ramsay Holdings<\/a>.
